Genus Elymnias

A genus with 35 species but only one occurring in the Afrotropical region: E. bammakoo, which comes in a number of colour forms. A frequent species sampled in the traps but not in great abundance. There is only one subspecies: E. bammakoo rattrayi and this is found at Semuliki.
